Standards and Interoperability Lab Thailand (SIL-TH)

We enable a more connected healthcare system for better health.

Who is SIL-TH

Health information technology is rapidly growing worldwide, with many health information systems being developed in both government and private sectors. However, lack of interoperability due to the complexity of the healthcare system and the absence of information standards is a major issue.

To address this issue, SIL-TH was established in 2019. Its purpose is to facilitate health information exchange within the country and across the region, following international standards.

Our team comprises highly passionate individuals from government, academic, and private sectors, working to build an interoperable healthcare system.

What We Do

Developing

We explore international standards and find ways to adapt them to the local context, for example, by developing FHIR implementation guides.

Training

We foster community and share knowledge with local and international stakeholders through both online and on-site training and workshops.

Supporting

We support healthcare providers and technology developers in successfully adapting and implementing standards.

Maintaining

We maintain and update our standards to meet new requirements, adopt new technologies, and comply with new versions of international standards.
